Old Town Farmers Market in Puerto Vallarta

Its new location inside the school of El Jardin de Ninos Emiliano Zapata in the heart of Old Town’s Romantic Zone is more spacious, offering visitors more room to stroll through the aisles and making shopping much more enjoyable.

The Old Town Farmers Market is a producer only market following its philosophy of “make it, bake it, grow it”, all products offered are made, baked, grown and sold by vendors who live within 50 kilometers of Puerto Vallarta.

As you step inside, the smells and colors of freshly baked bread, coffee, oils and soaps, herbs, fruits and vegetables will engage all your senses and make it very difficult to resist trying all products around you.  You will be amazed by the creativity of local artists creating beautiful pieces of art from jewelry out of vintage spoons, handmade sandals to scented candles and leather goods.

The food court offers hungry shoppers delicious barbecued meats, gourmet tamales, Italian sandwiches and even Asian Food. There is a large seating area, where you can enjoy the company of other visitors and the live music.

In an effort to create environmental awareness, the market is launching this year a Go Green Campaign. A program intended to educate vendors and visitors about the importance of recycling.  Many vendors are now using bio-degradable shopping bags and many more are moving to bio-degradable containers for their products.

Spend a nice Saturday morning meeting friends, making new ones, talking directly to producers and local artists, and doing your part in helping the local economy.

Starting its third season in Vallarta, the Old Town Farmer´s Market continues to grow and has become one of Puerto Vallarta's most compelling weekend attractions for tourists and locals alike.
