New Malecon in Puerto Vallarta

It is for many the perfect place to people watch and enjoy the great public art, restaurants, cafés and nightclubs that line the center of town.

One of the highlights is the modern bronze sculptures located along the promenade. The most prominent sculptures are the creation of leading Latin American artists, such asAlejandro Colunga, Ramiz Barquet and Sergio Bustamante.

The Malecon was recently remodeled for business and security reasons; it needed a new image to attract more tourists to our vacation destination.

On Friday, November 25, Salvador González Resendiz, Puerto Vallarta mayor, together with representatives and members of the community will officially cut the inauguration ribbon of this amazing work of renovation.

The town has planned a series of events to celebrate this upcoming inauguration starting this weekend and continuing through the end of November. There will be a variety of events from traditional Mexican festivities, to food tastings and cultural activities to the unveiling ceremonies of each sculpture.
