Upcoming charity events in Puerto Vallarta

When visiting or living in Puerto Vallarta, you might have already noticed that Mexico has often a very high cost of living and very low income opportunities. This makes life very challenging for families, orphans and elderly living in poverty.

A sinful and excellent way to feel part of the community is by helping those in need by volunteering and helping one of the many charities around our bay. And is not just about donating money, the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in local communities. There are many ways of helping those in need, by providing education and volunteering your time in programs enabling people to improve their quality of life.

Another very popular way to help charities around Puerto Vallarta is to attend one of the many upcoming events in our city:

- A fun and easy way to help is to attend the PEACE Annual Race for Change. Run or peddle for PEACE on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in a family-fun day of races, contests, games, food and drink at El Tigre Golf Course in Nuevo Vallarta. Help with your registration fee to support all PEACE Programs (Protection, Education, Animals, Culture, Environment).

- Mi Amigo sin Pelo (My friend with no hair), organized by the Support Center for Children with Cancer. The association seeks to educate parents on how to detect signs and symptoms of cancer in children, as well as how to react and what to do to be able to rule out this condition in time. The event will take place on November27, 2011 as of 3pm at Los Arcos del Malecon. All proceeds and donations will contribute to the construction of a Pediatric Oncology Hospital. - The very popular Charity Bingo in Puerto Vallarta has started its season again. This year all proceeds and donations will benefit six charities around Vallarta: Seniors Home for the elderly, Orphanage for kids, Aiding the blind, Kids with cancer, Food Bank and Shelter for Cats. Nacho Daddy’s in Vallarta´s Zona Romantica will host the Charity Bingo every other Tuesday beginning at 6:30pm.
