Welcome - XVII Gourmet Festival in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit

The idea of this Festival was born in 1985 during a casual dinner between Thierry Blouet of Café des Artistes, Heinz Reize of Hotel Krystal and Sivan Müller of Nestlé Mexico while discussing about some of their favorite topics: cuisine, tourism and Mexico. They had the idea of creating a gastronomy festival to position Puerto Vallarta as a gastronomic destination at both national and international levels.

The concept of the festival was to have six independent restaurants and six 5 star hotels participate, each with an invited guest chef. The only change to this has been the increased number of participating guest chefs which now stands at 20. Throughout the years, some new aspects to the original concept have been introduced: Chef's Table and Winemaker dinners, Tequila tasting, wine and cheese events and even cooking lessons

The festival has attracted some of the top names in global gastronomy and has enhanced the gourmand reputation of both Mexico and Puerto Vallarta around the world. It has given recognition to the excellent restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit and afforded the residents and visitors an unforgettable and unique gourmet experience.
