Living in a paradise called Puerto Vallarta

According to a Mexico's Institute of Competitiveness (IMCO), Vallarta is currently placed within the seven most popular places to live in, where the quality of life within 402 areas of the country were surveyed. Researchers based their conclusion on the proximity of the houses to public services, work, open-air spaces, and the amount of green areas. Puerto Vallarta can without a doubt brag about all of this and much more.

The International outlook doesn't differ much, because the renowned magazine "Travel & Leisure" published a top 10 list of subscriber's favorite places to travel in Latin America and Puerto Vallarta placed eighth.

With a colorful blend of the old and the new, Puerto Vallarta offers an unrivaled combination of simple pleasures and sophisticated charms. Fine dining restaurants, art galleries, upscale shopping centers, internet cafes and nightclubs peacefully coexist alongside taco stands, street-side vendors selling Mexican handcrafts, traditional open air markets and strolling mariachi bands.

But much of Puerto Vallarta's magic is in the hearts of her people. Often described as "the friendliest city in the world" Vallartenses are known for their hospitality and for going out of their way to welcome foreign residents. And, since the Mexican people are extremely tolerant of different lifestyles, international residents and Mexican locals can live side-by-side in harmony - provided that the expatriate can learn to be creative and adaptable. Taking the time to 'stop and smell the roses' along the road to becoming bicultural gives us the opportunity to grow - and to enjoy a more relaxed way of life.

Many people consider living in Puerto Vallarta as being on a permanent vacation; on the one hand boasting in all the commodities the city has to offer, and on the other, its nature and wildlife that surround this seaside gem.

The destination lives up to its fame of featuring all the opulence one might need to live a luxurious lifestyle; a number of national and international publications have named Puerto Vallarta as one of the best cities in Mexico to live in.
