Puerto Vallarta Wine Fest 2011

In a festive spirit, tourists and residents gathered to enjoy a grand open market wine fest. Visitors strolled in the park while a great selection of wines from Spain for all palates were served and displayed in the different service stations. And to complement, a gastronomical treat was provided by top local restaurants such as Le Kliff, River Café and Prime 159, who provided delicious snacks.

The entertainment featured amongst others, the Puerto Vallarta folkloric dance group Xiutla, which embellished the stage with their colorful costumes and wonderful choreography. It was with dance and good wine that the closure of the 5th edition of the Wine Fest came to a closure.

Lazaro Cardenas Park, in Old Town, was the setting for the closure of the Wine Fest 2011. This week long event included conferences, wine tasting, gastronomical experiences, music and dance performances, and featured top guest sommeliers.

The Wine Fest 2011, spearheaded by Sommelier Agustín Rodríguez, Nacho Cadena, Luis Angarita and Luis Reyes Brambila is an interesting venture, which offers a rich variety of cultural and gastronomical activities for locals and tourists. Every year, since the first Wine Fest in 2007, the festival has achieved its goal of creating a prime gastronomical experience for everyone’s enjoyment in Puerto Vallarta.
