Tour Description

Your tour begins with a safety introduction and a short practice before heading out through the quiet outlying villages of Puerto Vallarta. After a water and restroom break, the tour splashes through the first river and dives into the vast plantations and farmlands as you head further up into the countryside.

Forging through the sands of the Desembocada River banks, guests take a break at the base of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Additional off-road trails lead you to a local restaurant for a quick taste of Mexican food and culture (Tequila Tour).
Finally, the ride weaves in and out of trails, rivers and farmlands to return to the base.

Join us for an expedition North of Puerto Vallarta, deep into the state of Nayarit, the mystical place that bore the missionaries that settled San Francisco and San Diego in the state of California.  We'll pass several villages, and miles of thick, green tropical jungle, as we reach the town of Rincon de Guayabitos, where we'll enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant.

From there we will head Northeast, into the majestic Sierra Madre mountain range, climbing to 3,000 feet above sea level, where we'll find the historic and majestic city of Compostela.  Passing by the Puga (sugar factory), we'll venture all the way to the small Huichol Indian village of Nueva Valey, populated by 130 natives.  Here, the locals will introduce us to their native culture with a welcome ceremony, done by the high-ranking member of the community, Marakame. 

We will visit their Cali-Huey (temple), while they will present us with their splendid music and dance, and you will have the opportunity to take photographs of their rituals and traditional costumes, and buy highly sought-after authentic Huichol handcrafts.

After this fascinating encounter, we'll head back to the capital city of Tepic, where we'll eat a delicious 3-course Mexican Lunch at a local hotel restaurant.  Then it's back to Puerto Vallarta, the end of a truly introspective look at the native cultures of the Huicholes of Nayarit.

This six-hour horseback riding tour makes a journey into the tropical rain forest of the Sierra Madre and the village of Las Palmas, far from the tourists of Puerto Vallarta, for an ecological ride that will leave you wanting more.

You'll embark down a jungle trail, laden with beautiful tropical foliage.  You'll visit a beautiful waterfall, where you'll be invited to swim in the fresh cascades and pools below, cross remote rivers of amazing shapes and sizes, and enjoy Cervezas while watching the beauty unfold in front of you. 

At the end of this memorable horseback riding tour through lush tropical jungle, you'll be treated to a real Mexican lunch before returning to Puerto Vallarta.

A creative alternative to a healthy lifestyle. Massage and body treatments usually range in the 1 to 2 hour realm. Temazcal, the act, is a ritual bath involving steam.

The healing process has been utilized by various indigenous groups for thousands of years. The Temazcalli is the physical location where the bath takes place.

It is shaped in a semi-sphere, representing Mother Earth´s womb. The bath not only purifies, but also places you in contact with all the elements, eventually leading to a calm meditative state.

Located south of Puerto Vallarta, the Botanical Gardens lay on 20 acres of land against the soaring mountains and features very unique tropical flora and fauna.
