Platanitos (Little Bananas) is a small beach community located about an hour’s drive south from San Blas. The restaurants on the beach feature pescado sarandeado (BBQ fish) and beer. The beach is between a lagoon and the ocean, and is said to be one of the better places for snorkelling in Nayarit. To the right of the beach there is a Gringo community possessed of luxurious houses, and a yoga retreat. To the left of the beach is an estuary.
