Playa Los Cocos (Coconut Beach) is a gorgeous strip of beach located on the road from San Blas to Santa Cruz. It makes a wonderful day-stop. You can walk along the beach in front of Hotel Manana, or stop at the hotel for lunch and a dip in its pool. Hurricane Kenna hit playa Los Cocos hard, so the village is still in a shambles. Since Playa Los Cocos is a beach town, it has no stores, other than for groceries. There are only three restaurants on the beach. You might be interested to see its landmark, Hotel Delfin. This hotel was very cheap, which meant that people lived in it for months or even years, but, since it was nearly falling apart, it has been completely renovated. The only original thing about it that still remains is its rickety old sign.
